The basic fact is that every cellular process that occurs in the body is completely dependent on nutrition.  It’s basic common sense that eating well and taking a few targeted nutritionals is good for you. The reality is that we are facing a multitude of chemicals every day. Eating more organic, minimizing pre-packaged foods and limiting our dining out are some good habits but few people today can meet their nutritional requirements through food alone.  The body’s requirements for antioxidants alone are far beyond what a normal diet can supply.  We also need the trace minerals and phytonutrients the body needs to enable other antioxidants and all enzymatic processes to deep us alive.  Industrial farming has not made already depleted soils from which our foods must gain mineral content from any better in the last 100 years. The result is dietary deficiencies of trace minerals and phytonutrients. Farmers are our life source but are they returning to the soil over the years what has been taken out of the soil, that is the question.

What should you look for when creating a nutritional plan?  pH balance is the foundation of good health.  A good place to start is to find out where your pH is and how to keep it at the optimum 7 – 7.2 Obtain the bookThe Acid-Alkaline Diet’ by Christopher Vasey and by using pHion test strips to determine your pH composite reading and understand how to begin.  Homeostasis is the theory that we all possess an internal system of regulation that keeps everything functioning at certain levels to stay alive and vital on a consistent basis.  When you drink a can of soda pop your body steals minerals from your bones to buffer all the acid; it’s not concerned with the increased risk of osteoporosis 20 years from now. Every function in the body is regulated in this way with checks and balances working 24/7 on your behalf.  All of these are dependant on your nutritional intake. With all this in mind it becomes second nature to think about what your putting into your body and making better choices begins to become a habit. The body happily responds with better health and longer life. A good guage is the 80/20 rule, 80% healthy and 20% unhealthy for starters. I always say “THINK HEALTHY” in every thing you do, you won’t regret it.

Antioxidants for Immune function , green nutrition (capsules, juice, powders) for pH balance, Omega fish oils for circulatory health, Amino Acids for cardiovascular endurance, Calcium and D3 for bones, Glucosomine, MSM, and Chondroitin for joints, minerals and trace minerals for energy and cellular health, to mention a few. Start by committing to yourself to take care, listen and become in tune with your body and start eating healthy foods.  Eliminating the Chemicals alone and by drinking clean, pure unchlorinated water, at least 6 glasses a day will make a world of difference.  Eat breakfast and give your body fuel to run on before you start pushing it hard to perform.
